My approach to floral and still life photography is eclectic. I like to use flowers and organic material from my own garden, the surrounding native bush and the rural landscape. I am trying to capture the magic which is often impossible to capture in a single image.  Some of my artwork is starting to move into the realm of fantasy and I love to see how far I can push the floral and still life concepts, and compete with Mother Nature. Many images don't actually exist, except in my imagination.

Rural life and farm animals are increasingly becoming my main focus now.  Living in the rural Manawatu I am surrounded by livestock: bulls, sheep, deer, chickens, pigs and working dogs. Some of them seem to demand having their photograph taken. Any animal that catches my eye while I'm driving around is fair game, but many are also my own animals. Working with multi-layered images and found objects I like to create imaginative artwork which is totally original and unique.

To frame or not to frame:  All of these images look equally stunning framed or printed on canvas, and it is only a matter of personal preference. All canvas prints have been printed and framed in NZ, and are of a high standard.  All these images are available as a print or printed on canvas.

Limited Editions

Most of these artworks are limited editions. Some are limited to one only, and others may be a few more, but all are unique and I only ever print in very small numbers.  Once the number has been reached, the piece will be deleted from my website, so if you see something you like, don't hesitate, as it might be gone the next time you look.
